Amir Khan’s agent warned I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! that he is scared of snakes before he entered the jungle.
The 30-year-old boxer was accused of faking his reaction when he was forced to confront a the slimy reptile in a bushtucker trial on the creepy crawly show but TV presenter Alison Hammond has backed the star, revealing ITV producers were made aware of his phobia.
Speaking on This Morning on Tuesday (21 November 2017), Alison said: “His agent actually contacted the show and said he’s really scared of snakes.”

Then, a picture emerged of him at a public appearance with a Burmese Python wrapped around his neck, and he appeared at ease, which prompted viewers to should foul play.
Alison added while discussing the photo: “As soon as you don’t want it there, you can just say get it off me. When you’re in there with a snakes, it’s actually quite scary.”
His pal and the woman in the photo, Georgie Leahy, also insisted she remembers Amir being scared.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I remember him being a bit scared of Slinky, and one of the guys was like, no, do it, you’ve got to get a picture.
“I do remember he was scared – he doesn’t look it in the picture. You can tell Slinky really likes him because he’s got his tongue out. “Slinky was really excited to meet him. Most of the time because Slinky loves me so much he’d come back to me, but in this picture he’s going right for Amir!”
