Ant McPartlin and wife Lisa Armstrong have confirmed they will divorce in an emotional statement.
It read: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.
“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made.”
It’s been a tough time for the couple over recent months as Ant McPartlin checked into rehab in June 2017 where he was supported by his family and friends as well as having his wife Lisa by his side.

From meeting decades ago to facing their biggest challenge together, here’s what you need to know about their relationship:

Lisa and Ant go way back, having first laid eyes on each other in 1994. The long term lovers met at a concert in Newcastle City Hall.
Back then, Ant was better known as PJ (of PJ and Duncan fame), and Ant and Dec had just released their mega-hit, Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble.
Lisa meanwhile was in a band called Deuce, making them the perfect musical pair.

Despite dating since the nineties, Ant, 41, and Lisa, 40, waited over a decade before tying the knot.
In 2006, Lisa waltzed the aisle in a church in Buckinghamshire, surrounded by 150 guests.
Naturally, Dec was by Ant’s side as his best man.

Earlier this year, both Ant and Dec (with the latter tying the knot with long term partner Ali Astall in 2015) opened up about their desires to have babies.
Ant said: “I think I’m lucky. Lisa works in the industry and understands it. She’s constantly working, sometimes more than me!”
When asked by Fabulous magazine if he would like to become a father, Ant said: “We would love to start a family so fingers crossed. If we’re blessed with children, then we’d be over the moon!”

When Ant first opened up about checking into rehab, Lisa showed nothing but support for her partner. She took to Twitter to thank other people for their comforting words too.
Lisa tweeted: “Completely overwhelmed by all your love & support it means so much. I’m relieved he’s receiving the help he needs, we just need him better.”
Speaking about his marriage before rehab, Ant said: “I’ve put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you.

“I’m very sorry about the effect it has on partners. This kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage.
“All I can say at the moment is that she’s been amazing — fantastic throughout.” Ant checked out of rehab and returned home in August this year.

Earlier in the month, Lisa shared a fan-made montage featuring many of their highlight moments together. Showing their support, another fan of the duo commented: “Lovely couple @antanddec @lisaAmakeup (sorry this is my first time sending this video because this video so lovely.”
And as Ant set off with alongside Declan Donnelly to film I’m A Celebrity, Lisa replied to fans on Twitter to explain exactly why she wouldn’t be joining his in Australia. She said: “#writewhatyouwant #haventbeentoOzfor10years #ihaveajob #allaloadofmadeups**t #imnotestrangedthank-you #asyouwere.”
After a difficult eight months, the couple confirm they will be ending their marriage.
A source told The Sun: “This was a tough decision for Ant but he has to do the right thing for his health. The marriage has effectively been struggling for eight months. He’s given it a good go.
“Ant’s big concern in the whole thing is Lisa and making it as easy as possible for her.”
