Holly Willoughby may be feeling a little sorry for herself today.
She’s due on This Morning in just a couple of hours, but if history is anything to go by, the presenter and her pal Phillip Schofield could be nursing sore heads.
The pair scooped the Daytime prize for This Morning at last night’s National Television Awards, and announced in the press room that they were going to celebrate in style.
"We’re getting p****d," Phillip said.
The star said he was looking forward to enjoying a few Jack Daniel’s, while Holly said she was sticking to champagne because she’d already had a couple.
Holly was pictured in the wee hours heading home from the NTAs after party, and she looked a little bleary-eyed.
It was two years ago when the pair turned up on This Morning in the same clothes from the night before, having not yet been home.
Wind whipped through the star’s blonde hair as she headed to the car, clutching her bag in one hand.
It was a rather windy night, and poor Holly almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she headed into London’s O2 Arena.
The TV favourite pulled out all the stops on the night in a blue and yellow Grecian-style gown that featured a layered tulle skirt.
But the skirt appeared to have a mind of its own when a huge gust of wind hit just as she was getting into her waiting car to be whisked off to the glamorous ceremony.
Fortunately Holly soon managed to get the billowing layers under control, ensuring nothing was awkwardly caught in the door before driving off.
Holly and Phil were also both nominated for the Best Presenter award, but the gong went to Ant and Dec for the 17th year in a row.
Ant has been through a lot lately, going to rehab to battle addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs and announcing he was divorcing his wife Lisa Armstrong.
Speaking backstage at the NTAS, he said: "It means a lot. It’s been quite a tricky year for me personally and it’s quite an emotional night so to top it off with three awards has been good."
He added: "I had a very tough summer last summer, I’ve been threw some hard things my main thing was just getting back to work with my best mate and we done it and loved the series of I’m A Celebrity, we did some Takeaway stuff today."
Ant went on to joke that his pal was bragging by pointing out that they’d won Best Presenter for the 17th year in a row.
Dec said: "Every time we’re sat down there, this is our 17th now…"
"You look like you’re showing off when you say that," Ant laughed.
And Dec continued: "When were sat there and they’re reading the names out it’s he same feeling, your palms are all sweaty, your mouth’s all dry, your heart starts beating, it’s like the first time we were nominated again.
"And when the VT goes, you’re sure everyone has achieved more then you have and you’re sure this is the year you’re not going to get it but thankfully that’s not tonight.
"We are really honoured."
Ant said: "I’ve felt the love and I’ve felt the support, we both have, but me personally over the course of the year, so thank you a lot."
