The programme has been off the air for two years when BBC bosses found themselves at odds with Love Productions.
But, despite rumours doing the rounds that it would never been seen on screens again, GBSB will be making a comeback with comedian Joe Lycett as presenter, according to the Daily Mirror.
Former frontwoman Claudia is working on a new cookery show called Britain’s Best Cook, as well as Strictly Come Dancing, and has a BBC Radio 2 programme.
The company that makes Great British Sewing Bee, Love Productions, fell out with BBC bosses when the Great British Bake Off moved to Channel 4, who are said to have paid a huge sum for the popular show.
But BBC bosses are likely to be pleased the Great British Sewing Bee will be staying with them as the last series achieved audiences of 3.3million.
Meanwhile, Mary Berry will be returning to BBC One as she is appearing as a judge on Claudia’s new show, which aims to find “the best of ordinary British cuisine”.
Viewers will see “the real-life expertise of truly great home cooks” and the programme is set to “celebrate the food people make for their loved ones every single day”.
Britain’s Best Cook is set to air later this year.
