Coronation Street spoilers: Cobbles killer Richard Hillman curses wife Gail Platt from beyond the grave

Rosemary – played by Sophie Thompson in the ITV soap – has already convinced Audrey (Sue Nicholls) that her dead husband, Alf, has been leaving messages for her.

She’s also told Audrey that she has messages for Gail (Helen Worth) from her dead husbands. Of which there are a few.

An uncertain Gail eventually speaks to Rosemary and has her curiosity piqued when she mentions Richard Hillman – Gail’s killer ex husband who murdered Maxine Peacock and tried to kill the entire Platt clan by driving them into the canal.

Curious as to what murderous Richard could have to say to her, she pays Rosemary a visit to find out.

But Gail is left stunned when the psychic tells her that Richard has put a curse on the Platt family from beyond the grave.

With everything the Platts have been through over the last few years – Gail losing two more husbands after Richard drowned, Sarah’s mental breakdown, Bethany’s grooming horror and Kylie being murdered – it doesn’t take much to convince Gail that Richard is pulling the strings from the afterlife.

Rosemary then explains that she’s able to lift Richard’s curse – but it will take a lot of time. And – surprise, surprise – a lot of money.

Is Gail convinced enough to hand over a large amount of money to Rosemary?
