David Beckham pays tribute to wife Victoria and daughter Harper as Davina McCall, Amanda Holden and Olly Murs celebrate International Women's Day

The former footballer gushed that he was "lucky to have strong and determined women in his home" as he shared a series of sweet snaps dedicated to his fashion designer wife, their daughter Harper and his mother Sandra.


"LEADING THE WAY .. So lucky to have strong and determined women in my home & work life leading the way #internationalwomensday@victoriabeckham @sandra_beckham49," he wrote alongside the images, one of which showed Victoria out on a hike with their six-year-old daughter.

The former Spice Girl also made sure to show the women in her life some love as she posted an adorable snap of herself in her mother's arms as a young girl, as well as a selfie with Harper.

"I learnt from the best!! #internationalwomensday I love you mum x Kisses," she enthused.

Of course the Beckhams weren't the only stars who made sure to partake in the empowering day, as Amanda Holden, Davina McCall, Olly Murs and plenty more celebs praised the women in their lives.

Giving a special mention to her daughters, best friend and step-mother, Davina wrote: "Happy #internationalwomensday 😃 to all the women who inspire me every day. My two fantastic daughters…you have taught me so much. The future is yours!

"To Sarah… my best friend for more than 30 years…thank you, and Gaby my amazing step mum 💕 for guidance and love and Pippy 💕 my granny who gave me a great start to life, and I don’t know where I’d be now if it werent for that.

"To all the trailblazing women out there … keep doing what your doing … and to all men … shoulder to shoulder we stand 😃"

Britain's Got Talent star Amanda, who is mother to daughters Hollie and Alexa, shared a heartfelt video montage honouring the women in her life.

“The best kind of #friendships are #fierce #lady friendships where you aggressively #believe in each other, defend each other and think the other #deserves the #world …" she wrote.

"I am truly honoured to have these #incredible #girlsin my life #internationalwomensday#strong #love #daughter #mama #nana#girlfriend."

This Morning star Holly Willoughby took a moment to thank her mum Lynne and sister Kelly.

She gushed: "Happy International Women’s Day to these two power house women in my life… my mother and my sister… love you both! 💕 #internationalwomensday."

It came as her long-time friend Fearne Cotton paid a special mention to the TV presenter in her own International Women's Day post, as well as her own mum and grandmother.

Actress Emma Watson said it with her jacket as she shared a snap of herself wearing a coat emblazoned with the words "girls just wanna have fundamental human rights".

But it wasn't only women showing the other women in their lives love, as Towie's Pete Wicks and singer Olly Murs also made sure to let the women in their lives know how much they adore them.

"#InternationalWomensDay spent with this beautiful old dear…👵🏻♥," he wrote alongside a snap of himself out taking his nan for a spin.

Sharing a comical throwback snap of himself in a leather shirt and posing with his sister Fay and mum Vicky-Lynne.

"My favourite photo of my favourite women in my life #internationalwomensday #tbt ♥😘," he gushed.
