EastEnders spoilers: Kat Slater plays Mel Owen off against Mick and Linda Carter in a money-making scheme

It all kicks off when Mel, played by Tamzin Outhwaite in the BBC One soap, agrees to give the Slaters another chance at winning the cleaning contract at the E20, but Kat and Mo take advantage of the offer and help themselves to drink from the club.

When Mel realises what they’ve done she tells Kat, played by soap legend Jessie Wallace, that if she is serious about getting the cleaning job back she needs to replace all the drink she and Mo stole the night before.

Kat then clocks on to a rivalry between Mel and Linda and decides to use it to her advantage.

She approaches Linda and manages to blag a cleaning trial at The Vic.

While cleaning the pub Kat decides to steal some of the booze from the pub to replace the stuff she took from Mel.

Will she get caught? And where will that leave the Slaters new cleaning business?

Kat, who returned to Albert Square last month, is also still carrying a secret about what happened in Spain between her and Alfie.

She returned to Walford without her husband and three children, Tommy and twins Bert and Ernie, and has been seen lying to her family that she’s in touch with them.

Will she finally reveal what’s really happened?
