EASTENDERS’ Jacqueline Jossa and Lorna Fitzgerald have revealed the secrets behind last night’s explosive episode.
Viewers watched in horror as their characters, Lauren and Abi Branning, fell off the roof of the Queen Vic.
BBC bosses revealed a behind-the-scenes clip of the action packed episode and, in an earlier press day, the pair talked about how hard it was to film the scenes.
The girls filmed the stunt at 2am while being pelted by freezing wind and rain.
Jacqueline explained: “ freezing cold. It was 2.00 in the morning.
“Lorna was not scared at all – I was terrified.
“But in fairness she could see where she was falling and I was falling backwards.”
While Lorna later joked that the pair only had to fall a short distance, their on-screen dad Jake Wood praised their bravery.
The actor, who plays Max Branning, explained: “It was 10ft!
“They built a platform with some boxes and they actually had to fall backwards off the roof.
“I wouldn't have done it. They were very brave. The platform was very high.”
Viewers were stunned when the dramatic scenes aired last night.
And it seems EastEnders bosses may have another twist planned after fans became convinced Phil Mitchell accidentally shot another character during the show.
