EMMERDALE viewers were bemused after the soap was plunged into darkness in a matter of minutes.
The episode tonight appeared to have time on fast-forward with day turning into night in almost a blink of an eye.
Eagle eyed fans noticed the apparent error as Laurel went into The Woolpack to round up her mates to say goodbye to Harriet the vicar.
She was heard telling them they would be meeting around 1pm in the café to have a farewell lunch.
Just three minutes later, the soap jumped to another scene where Cain was busy bashing down one of the broken walls of the Dingle’s family home.
But rather than the sunshine, the sun was low in the sky and it appeared to be close to total darkness.
The soap then jumped back to lunchtime in the café, with Laurel bidding a sad goodbye to Harriet.
One confused viewer tweeted: “Cain was smashing the house down it was nearly dark!
“Scene later it was mid-morning so anything can happen…”
Elsewhere in the soap it was a time for rejoicing, as Moira later ran back into Cain’s arms.
Many believed Moira was leaving the soap with their young baby Isaac for good.
However she later revealed she couldn’t leave her man behind and told the con she loved him more than anything.
Viewers couldn't hide their happiness at the bosses' decision to keep the lovers together.
