The timing of big news was not lost on anyone: Wednesday night sees NSW take on Queensland in game one of the 2018 State of Origin.

While Molan will surely be too preoccupied with her new baby to focus on the game, we at least know where her daughter stands in the notoriously competitive clash.

“We wish them well as they embark on the next stage of life together – no doubt she will be a NSW Blues supporter,”  the spokesman said.

Erin Molan and her fiancé Sean Ogilvy postponed their wedding after discovering they were expecting.

Molan and Ogilvy got engaged in April of 2017 and announced their pregnancy news in December, about two months after Molan was tasked with hosting a revamped version of Nine’s previously male-dominated the Footy Show.

It wasn’t an easy pregnancy for Molan, the TV star suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, the same serious condition Kate Middleton was hospitalised for during her pregnancy with Prince George.

With Molan’s maternity leave expected to run through until later this year, her seat will temporarily be filled by Wide World of Sports host James Bracey.
