The apparently unlikely team of Gloria Steinem and Anthony Haden-Guest are helping put together an exhibition of photographs about sex trafficking.
The fun-loving writer and critic Haden-Guest has curated a collection of works by Layla Love — who has been detained, blindfolded, beaten and robbed while documenting the trade — while the crusading feminist icon wrote commentary for the show.
Titled “Rise,” it opens on Thursday at Gallery Henoch in Chelsea.
Once known for his late-night party pursuits, Haden-Guest was named Spy magazine’s Iron Man Decathlon for his late-night activities in 1988 and 1989.
