HARRY Potter fans have reimagined what Hogwarts would have been like if it used black actors and culture.
Social media users have suggested who they would like to have seen in the main roles as well as portraying famous scenes with hilarious memes and gifs.
Author J.K. Rowling gave her nod of approval to the viral discussion when asked if she had seen the viral #BlackHogwarts discussion.
She tweeted: "Seeing them and loving them."
Among the suggestions were Donald Glover playing Harry, Morgan Freeman as Dumbledore, and Samuel L. Jackson portraying Hagrid.
Users also thought Denzel Washington could play Snape and Don Cheadle as Voldemort.
The discussion starting going viral on Thursday and among the humorous plot changes were invisible Timberland boots instead of cloak.
Snoop Dogg was mentioned as a replacement for Professor Sprout, to teach students Herbology, and Carlton from the Fresh Prince as a school prefect.
Instead of a sorting hat there would be a sorting durag and Gryffindor would be jokingly renamed Cripindor – in reference to the notorious Los Angeles gang.
Although Hermione is never explicitly mentioned as being white in the books, actress Noma Dumezweni faced a backlash over her casting in the role.
