Kim Kardashian is no stranger to courting controversy and sparking criticism with her social media posts.
We are talking about the woman who once trolled Bette Midler asking her to "send nudes" after Middler commented on Kim’s love of a naked selfie .
However, a recent post has got people turning up their noses – actually "gagging" in some cases – for a completely differently reason.
Taking a breather from naked photos, the mum-of-three recently shared a photo of a snack she rustled up for her brood.
Sadly the creative food hybrid she put together for North and Saint left people feeling a little grossed out.
Yes, that IS hotdog sushi…
"When your kids LOVE sushi & hotdogs you get creative #HotDogSushi," she captioned the image.
People had strong feelings about this.
But as one person put it, making this snack doesn’t exactly "make her a bad mom."
In fact, hotdogs in sushi may not be as unusual as it first seems.
Another supporter leaped to Kim’s defence, writing:
"Ok so to the people I’m seeing here trashing @KimKardashian for her hotdog sushi: Korea and Hawaii say hi. Maybe try some food outside your neighborhood next time guys??"
In Hawaii the snack is known as Spam musubi and it’s a popular snack.
It’s made with a slice of grilled Spam on top of a block of rice, wrapped together with nori, in the tradition of Japanese omusubi.
And Kim’s kids love it, apparently.
