The singer, 36, said she also had a good relationship with Nicola Roberts, and that her two children enjoy playdates with Chezza's son Bear.
In an exclusive chat with The Sun Online, Kimberley admitted the foursome had grown apart: “I’m closest to Nicola and Cheryl now and I do see a lot more of them.
“I do still speak to the others, but a bit more like you just check in with people that you work with, I guess.
“It’s a different chapter in our lives now. We’ve got kids and things move on don’t they?"
Kimberley's comments come as Nadine recently revealed she hasn’t had any contact with her, Cheryl or Nicola Roberts since the band broke up.
Sarah Harding echoed her comments when she was in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2017.
Meanwhile Kimberley told how her children Cole and Bobby enjoy playdates with Cheryl's son.
She said: "My sons Cole and Bobby get on well with Cheryl’s baby Bear; they have a lovely time.”
Even though the group's members might not be as close as they once were, there is some good news for Girls Aloud fans, as Kimberley has confirmed she wouldn't rule out a reunion – possibly for the band’s 20th anniversary in four years’ time.
The girl group were formed in 2002 from the reality television show Popstars: The Rivals.
They went on to massive success, with 20 consecutive Top Ten singles, including hits such as Sound of the Underground, Love Machine and Something Kinda Ooooh.
They took a three-year break in 2009, reuniting for their 10th anniversary in 2012, then announced their split the following year.
Kim has stayed good friends with Cheryl and Nicola – but has drifted apart from Nadine and Sarah.
Just last week the trio shared a photo of themselves enjoying a private screening of Black Panther.
Kimberley lives in north London with her husband Justin Scott, a property developer and former boyband member and their two sons, Bobby three and Cole, 14 months.
Since leaving Girls Aloud she has released two solo albums and launched a successful West End career, playing Princess Fiona in Shrek: The Musical and appearing in Elf: The Musical.
She is set to return to TV when becomes head judge for Good Morning Britain's nationwide talent search called Sing It To Win It.
