An advert for Kinder Eggs has been slammed by TV viewers, with many criticising the brand for being ‘sexist’.
The advert for the popular chocolate treat shows ‘Hot Wheels’ car toys in the blue egg.
In the pink eggs, ‘Hello Kitty’ figures are included inside.
It caused a huge backlash online, with many taking to Twitter to show their frustration.

Some viewers were left outraged by the gender stereotypical colours used.
“Why pink and blue? Why not purple or green or yellow. Isn’t the whole point the surprise?” one fan commented.
Another added: “Why did they decide to make Kinder Egg wrappers in blue and pink with corresponding gender stereotypical toys inside? Find it quite sexist.”
One person simply added: “I’m trying to think of a witty way of being rude about Kinder Eggs sexist blue/ pink toy offerings, but I can’t – It’s just wrong.”

However, a Ferrero spokesperson told OK! online: “In the UK, Kinder Surprise eggs are available in different coloured designs for limited edition promotions because consumer feedback showed that parents found it helpful as a guide to the type of toys found inside.
“We don’t label them as being for boys or girls because we know children enjoy all types of toys.”
