Kylie Minogue dishes ultimate burn to ex Joshua Sasse

It’s been a tough time for Kylie Minogue, who suffered a ‘nervous breakdown’ following her February 2017 split from fiancé Joshua Sasse.

The split ‘broke’ the pop princess as she came to terms not only with losing the man she loved but also with the possibility that she may never get married.

To make matters worse, after bravely speaking out about her devastation, Joshua seemingly took a pop, writing on Instagram, ""None of it is. When your roof is leaking, when you lose your job, when you lose someone in your life – none of it is personal.

"Don’t hold on to it – the minute you let go of trying to control everything, it will all come back to you and then you will realise that none of it matters – and then you can carry on with your life without this weight you’ve had on your back. Let go."

But with her 50th birthday around the corner, Kylie is back to her fierce best and has made it clear that her ex – who was accused of growing close to Spanish actress Marta Milans – is nothing but a fast-fading memory.

"Literally, that’s been and gone," she told ITV’s Lorraine on Monday, before adding, "That does seem like another life."

And she insisted her new album Golden most certainly is NOT a heartbreak album, thank you very much.

"I was very happily single when I wrote them [the tracks]. Like, very happily single. The grass is always greener isn’t it?" she said, seemingly alluding to the reasons for their split.

"Honestly, it’s just not [a break-up album] – what it became about was me and my life and where I am in my life and the lessons I’ve learnt."

Speaking to the Sunday Times magazine back in February, the Aussie star revealed she fled to Thailand after the shock of the split sparked a breakdown.

"I just wanted to stop. I knew I needed to heal my… my physical system was compromised," she said.

"I think it’s called a nervous breakdown. I just thought ‘no, no, no, no’.

"Thailand was an opportunity to reclaim myself, get strong and get going.

"I think I reacted pretty quickly. I can take a nose dive pretty fast, but I won’t stay there long," she added. "I’m too practical."
