Love Island presenter Caroline Flack pays tribute to ‘beautiful soul’ Sophie Gradon during emotional moment on spin-off show After Sun

Love Island presenter Caroline Flack paid an emotional tribute to Sophie Gradon on Sunday night’s episode of After Sun.

As footage of Sophie flashed up on the screen, Caroline told viewers the former Miss Great Britain was ‘a gorgeous person inside and out.’

The tribute comes four days after Sophie was found dead at her parent’s house on Wednesday evening.

Before cutting to the first advert break on Love Island’s Sunday spin off show After Sun, Caroline said a few words about Sophie, who starred on the 2016 series of the ITV2 hit.

‘Tragically this week we lost as beautiful soul in Sophie Gradon. She was a gorgeous person both inside and out and everyone’s thoughts here at Love Island are with Sophie’s friends and family at this really terrible time. Sophie we’ll never forget you.’ the presenter said.

Fans praised the show for the tribute, which followed ITV’s dedication of Wednesday’s episode to Sophie.

Sophie was found dead at her home on Wednesday evening shortly before her co-stars, fans and fellow celebrities took to social media to share tributes following her untimely death.

Her cause of death is currently unconfirmed, however police are not treating it as suspicious.

Sophie previously spoke about the ‘horrific’ effects online trolls had on her life in her final interview.

Speaking to Radio Aire three months ago, the former Love Island star heavily relayed her distaste for viewers forming negative opinions on reality stars before hauntingly noting: ‘The harsh reality is, it can end up with that person taking their own life.’

The former Miss GB also revealed in the interview that she wasn’t prepared for the ‘scale of comments’ from their ‘thousands of new followers’ who heavily judged her – admitting: ‘It can really get into your mind and really affect you.’

Speaking of the trolling, she said: ‘It was horrific. ‘I think when you get so many comments on the scale we did coming out of thousands of followers.

‘There are fans and positive comments but people would focus on the negatives. Sometimes I would look for it.’

Sophie’s devastated boyfriend Aaron Armstrong shared an emotional tribute to girlfriend Sophie over the weekend.

Armstrong opened up about their future plans and said the pair had discussed having children together.

He wrote on Instagram that he was ‘haunted’ by her beautiful smile.  ‘To think I will never see your beautiful smile again haunts me,’ Armstrong said.

‘You are the girl of my dreams we spoke of having kids and spending the rest of our lives together.

‘I’m devastated we will never get the chance to grow old together and raise a family,’ he added with a crying face emoji.

‘I love you will all my heart Sophie [you] will always be in my heart you are my angel and I know that you will be by my side everyday.’

Adoring: Her brokenhearted boyfriend Aaron Armstrong penned: ‘ I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your my world forever’
