Love Island’s Frankie admits he did share hotel room with ‘blonde bombshell’

Love Island’s Frankie Foster has defended himself against shock reports he did the dirty on girlfriend Samira Mighty.

Yesterday, it was reported the reality TV hunk had romped with a ‘blonde bombshell’ called Stephanie, just hours before his emotional airport reunion with Samira.

But after he was branded a ‘love rat’ by stunned fans, Frankie has spoken out to explain himself.

Speaking on TalkRADIO, the fitness instructor admitted he did meet a 26-year-old Swede at London nightclub Libertine and later spent the night in a hotel room with her.

But he insists nothing untoward happened.

Frankie said: "We met at a nightclub, we went out. The biggest mistake for me, and this is what me and Samira have spoken about and I had to apologise about, is that I was in the same room as those two.

"I was asleep, three beds, I went on the far left, they went on the far right at a hotel we stayed in.”

Frankie then said the allegations had come at an unfortunate time as his relationship with Samira is going from strength to strength.

"I’m going to meet Sam’s mum tonight and she’ll probably meet my family in the next few days," he said.

"This is a real relationship. We are boyfriend and girlfriend and we are in a relationship," he fired.

Frankie then described as the night with the blonde as a ‘huge wake up call’ that he doesn’t want to repeat.

It’s not the first obstacle the couple have faced since finding fame on the show.

Viewers accused Frankie of not being genuine as he turned his attentions to ‘Muggy’ Megan Barton Hanson when he first arrived in the villa, before appearing to ‘settle’ with Samira.

But as he was dumped from the show, Frankie insisted he’d made the right decision with Samira.

"At the start I had no expectations but Samira and I naturally gravitated towards one another and it just got stronger every day. It was pretty chilled, there was no drama.

"As soon as she comes out, we’ll meet up and see what happens. It’s hard to tell as there could be a three to four week gap between seeing each other, So you can’t predict what will happen but in my head we’ll meet up."

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm
