Paul Cattermole is selling his Brit Award on eBay, and the auction has racked up to over £70,000 already.
The former S Club 7 band member has decided to retail the highly coveted item because he has “bills to pay”, and not to spite band members; Bradley Mcintosh, Jo O’Meara, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, ex lover Hannah Spearritt and Rachel Stevens.
He told the BBC: “I don’t want the other members to think that I am dissing the band by selling it but there are bills to pay. S Club 7 was one of the best things I’ve ever been involved in, I really miss those guys.”

However, the artist – who received the major honour in 2000 when he won Best Newcomer at the annual bash – is taken aback by the high figures that have come flooding in, as he initially listed the trophy for £650.
The post reads: “I didn’t expect it too skyrocket like this.”
The low starting price is because the gong shows “signs of age” and has “smudges”.

“Statuette of Britannia 13 1/4 inches in height, it hasn’t been professionally polished, there are smudges that won’t come out without a pro polish. There are signs of age.
“An indentation on the inside of the helmet. That is a casting bubble and has always been there.”
The winning bidder will also receive a “letter of provenance” to certify its authenticity, as well as a special meet and greet with the star.

“Letter of provenance will be provided. Paul can meet you and greet you and take photos, distance depending.”
Although the Two in a Million hitmaker – who took a six-year hiatus from the 90s group in 2002, only to rejoin in 2013 before quitting two years later – listed the item with an additional £5 postage fee, he has told consumers to ignore that cost.
“Postage can now be ignored. I will cover the full cost of postage with the most secure carrier. Ask me for details.”
