Ross Kemp flaunted his new friendship with Ioan Gruffudd on social media, after meeting the Fantastic Four actor at this year’s National Television Awards.
The former EastEnders star – who made his debut as Grant Mitchell in the longstanding BBC soap in 1990 – cosied up with the 44 year old hunk and continued to pose for pictures with Ioan at the ceremony.
However, the 53 year old has downplayed his status as he likened himself to a “bouncer” in comparison to the Liar star, which was nominated in the Best Drama category at the annual awards.

The Ross Kemp on Gangs hard-man captioned the post of him beside the two male stars, which was shared on his Twitter account: “Two actors and a bouncer in the middle! #NTAs (sic)”.
Ross’ selfie went down a storm with his 138,000 followers who hailed the trio a great “boy band”.
One social media user captioned the post: “That’s some boy band you got there (sic).”

While another tweeted: “Hahaha have a lovely time and you are the bouncer lol juat have a great time. Just watch you on tv about the bikers I totally agree with u (sic).”
However, one person missing from Ross’ picture was his co-star Steve McFadden, who plays his on-screen brother Phil Mitchell, as Ross reportedly hates attending events where he crosses paths with the 58 year old.
According to The Sun, when asked if he was looking forward to bumping into his old pal at the star-studded ceremony he shook his head and groaned: “Everyone always asks for ‘Phil and Grant’ selfies.”

Since stepping away from Walford the actor-turned investigative journalist has expanded his horizons as he has created documentaries to open people’s eyes to homelessness, drug addiction, violence and poverty.
Ross is even contemplating taking to the dance floor and competing on Strictly Come Dancing.
He previously said: “I love Strictly Come Dancing. I have been asked before. I was going to do it. Then I got home from Camp Bastion after being shot at and thought: ‘No, don’t be so silly.’ “
