But despite getting emotional in front of a live audience as she read the soppy text she had sent to her other half, Eamonn hadn't even replied.
Instead he was busy tweeting his 991,000 followers about the heatwave while Ruth opened up about her feelings.
She read a text out to the panel, which read: "My darling, we are all so busy I worry I don't take the time to tell you how much I love you.
"Well, I love you more than you will ever know.
"You make my life complete and give me the support love and support to do everything I do.
"Thank you for making me feel like the most loved loved woman in the world."
The panel were discussing seven signs that someone has a work spouse – a person who isn't your real-life partner, but they support you and you can confide in.
Presenter Ruth had hoped for a reply by the end of the show, but Eamonn failed to send a heartfelt message back in time.
Ruth said: "Eamonn! He hasn't even replied.
"I don't even do gushy things like that. I call him my poet. He's the gusher."
He had earlier appeared on Loose Women in a pre-recorded clip to wind Ruth up about his "work spouse".
Pretending he was talking about his wife, Ruth, Eamonn said: "Every now and again someone comes into your life and makes a real difference.
"Someone who makes you laugh and cares about you, someone who is nice… someone who is your soulmate.
"Someone who is Saira Khan."
