Stacey Solomon has declared war on Botox and has warned women not to be pressured into undergoing the cosmetic procedure.
The 28-year-old Loose Women star is worried that impressionable women are being pressured into using Botox too young by an overzealous beauty industry.
Indeed, the TV host and singer thinks there is even a mafia style vibe to the entire Botox industry.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine, Stace rounded on the Bo’ to suggest beauticians and even dentists are pushing the injection onto women.
“There’s a whole underground industry scaring young women into doing it. I went for a facial the other day, and the woman honestly asked me if I wanted some Botox,” an aghast Stacey revealed.
"And I said: ‘Oh no, I really don’t like Botox,I don’t want any.’ And she was like: ‘You really should. You have to consider doing this now before your skin starts to wrinkle naturally’,” the star said.
Stacey thinks beauticians are putting too much pressure on women to fight the signs of ageing before they are even there.
“She was basically feeding me this whole: ‘If you don’t get this done now, you’re going to look like a bulldog in five minutes’ time!’ And that was just going for a facial,” she said.
But it’s not just beauticians.
"It’s happening everywhere. My friend said she went to the dentist and they’re offering her Botox and fillers. I mean…” Stacey said.
“If I start getting Botox at 28, by the time I’m 38 is it even going to work any more? What am I going to have to do? Face lifts? Peels? It’s just so scary,” she added.
