Susanna Reid insists she IS genuine friends with Piers Morgan despite their fiery on-screen spats

SUSANNA Reid reveals she and Piers Morgan know how to push each other's buttons but are genuinely good friends.

The pair regularly clash on Good Morning Britain and Twitter but Susanna said it never goes too far.

"We understand what winds the other person up. Sometimes he ignores that and continues to wind me up, but he’ll know when I’m upset about something.”

Yesterday Susanna was branded a "goddess" by Good Morning Britain viewers as she showed a hint of cleavage in a plunging pink dress.

The TV host looked sensational in a low-cut lace frock and fans flocked to Twitter to praise her sexy look.

During the show, Susanna and Piers started by congratulating weatherman Alex Beresford on his star turn on Dancing On Ice.

Alex performed his routine and won over both fans and judges with his skating moves.

Susanna said: "Well done, Alex!"

Piers also added his congratulations, but joked that if Alex wins the show, it will "ruin" his life.

He said: "Of all the things that would ruin my life most – you winning Dancing On Ice ."

However, he also praised his skating, adding: "From where you've come from to where you've got to very quickly."

The show also featured Piers speaking out about his mention in Coronation Street last week.

He was left outraged after Corrie character Eileen Grimshaw said he gave her a "head ache" in Wednesday's episode.
