But one person who likely won't be having the traditional American baby shower is Meghan Markle.
Should the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decide to have children, 36-year-old Meghan will probably have to give the pre-birth party a miss – and it's all to do with royal tradition.
According to royal expert Victoria Arbiter, throwing an elaborate baby shower is unheard of for members of The Firm.
While the royals are "very wealthy… a lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate… there's nothing they can't go out and buy themselves".
Despite reports that Pippa Middleton threw a party for Kate before Prince George's birth in 2013 many royal experts believe this wasn't the case.
While baby showers aren't as much of a tradition in the UK, they're huge in the States with the average American spending between £150-750 per shower.
And Meghan – who grew up in California – is likely to have watched many of her friends and family throw the traditional pre-birth celebration.
Best pal Jessica Mulroney has three children – Ivy, who was a bridesmaid at Harry and Meghan's wedding and twins, Brian and John, who were page boys.
One friend who threw a huge celebration was Serena Williams.
The tennis star hosted a 50s-themed party last year, to celebrate the birth of her daughter Alexis.
While Meghan was unable to attend due to royal commitments, other guests included Ciara, Eva Longoria, Kelly Rowland, and sister Venus.
While an official royal shindig is unlikely, Meghan would be allowed to accept gifts from friends and family.
And while there's currently no news as to whether the couple will extend their family, Harry revealed children were "in the near future" during an interview with the BBC last year.
Either way, we're sure Megs and Harry would celebrate a potential new royal in their own special way.
