Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Juventus are the first four teams through to the last eight of the Champions League this season, and three ex-England stars only see one winner.
Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard – who were all working at Wembley as BT Sport’s pundits for Juve’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham – have reached a consensus on the side they see lifting the trophy on May 26.
And it’s Real Madrid.
The former Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea stars feel as though Zinedine Zidane’s men have got what it takes to secure what would be a fourth European Cup in five seasons.
Real might be 15 points off the pace in La Liga, but it’ll be a different matter in Europe according to the trio.
When pressed on the issue by BT Sport host Gary Lineker, Ferdinand said: "Real Madrid, simply because of the experience and the Ronaldo factor."
Gerrard added, somewhat predictably: "Liverpool have a chance but Real are rightly favourites."
And then Lampard chimed in with: "I have to agree but it is still very hard to predict."
There we go then, it’s settled!
