Royal Ascot 2017: Duchess of Cambridge wears white lace dress [Wenn]
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in a carriage alongside the Queen to the races, making the outing a family affair.
Kate Middleton looked stunning in a white lace dress with a matching fascinator as she tried to keep cool in the heat.
The 35 year old wore her brunette locks up into a loose bun and finished off the look with a pair of nude heels on her feet.
Kate’s gorgeous dress is from Alexander McQueen, and there’s a shorter version on the designer’s website, which is reduced to £2,232.

However, despite many loving the elegant Audrey Hepburn inspired outfit, many others were left “disappointed”, remembering how Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mum had chosen a similar dress for Ascot last year.
Commenting, one fan wrote: “A bit dull for us thrill seekers that it’s more white lace as per last year, but it still fits the occasion.
“Though I don’t rate the style of it much, only Kate could risk something so bulky at the stomach.”
Another added: “So confusing – I thought this was a reappearance of last year’s post!”

While one wrote: “Ascot is the time when you’re supposed to do something fashion-forward, fun, or daring! The queen is in apple green, for Pete’s sake! An almost-repeat again is disappointing.”
And while others disagreed, referring to Kate as “dainty”, “gorgeous” and channelling “My Fair Lady” vibes, others accused her of looking too bridal.
Commenting, one fan pointed out: “Why does this remind me of Pippa’s wedding dress but with longer sleeves? Very pretty hat!”
Another added: “It looks lovely on her but I am getting bored of the lace at this point.

“And I would have loved to have seen her in a bold pop of colour rather than bridal white. The Queen’s lime green outfit today is gorgeous!”
It’s the second time Kate has worn Alexander McQueen this week, stepping out in a bright pink dress by the designer for the annual Trooping The Colour parade.
