The sticky stuff cossies are the latest beachwear craze as the model proves at Miami Swim Week.
And US label, Black Tape Project, is flogging a roll of body tape for £37.99. We thought that was eye-watering enough without even ripping it off, so we made our own – with rolls of £1.99 duct tape from decorators’ firm Leyland.
Model Hayley Parr, from Kent, got all wrapped up in our tape creations. She rates our DIY swimwear styles out of five and gives her tale of the tape to CIGDEM TANRIOGLU.
After getting stuck in, Hayley said: “I like the idea of making my own swimwear that fits perfectly to my body.
“But getting the layers of tape on takes too long, and peeling it off feels like getting a full body wax. I’ll stick to regular fabric ones for now, and only get a wax at the beauticians.”

“I couldn’t go out in public like this. I feel like I’m naked, it’s not even a bikini.
"I think I’d rather have teeny tiny string tan lines, than be done for indecent exposure.”

“The extra straps look cute, and this style does give me some great support – but I’d have to keep peeling bits off if I wanted to get a decent tan.”

“The bandeau style gives my boobs some extra support and it was so easy to wrap around myself.
"I could definitely get away with this if I went out and about.”

“I like this. It’s a bit like a cool wet look bikini, which is nice.
"It looks good, but I do think a fabric bikini would give me bit more support on my bust than just tape.”

“The bottoms feel like a giant nappy.
"But the bikini style feels far more comfortable than a swimsuit because I’m not taped together.”

“This style looks really flattering but it feels tight.
"I’m dreading taking this off, and if I were out in the sun I’d be worried about seeing the tan lines too.”
