Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have been flooring Strictly Come Dancing fans with their stunning outfits every Saturday night since the BBC One show kickstarted again.

The presenters then treat fans for a second look as Sunday night’s dance off episode airs.

But as it turns out, the dress changes have been leaving viewers increasingly frustrated.

In fact, it’s caused quite the uproar on Twitter.

One disgruntled viewer questioned why: “Tess and Claudia pretending it’s live and do a dress change #Strictly.”

Another added: “Don’t care about it being broadcast on two nights, but why pretend? Just cos Tess and Claudia change outfits!? Infuriating.”

While one Strictly viewer asked “Why on earth does the BBC still try to convince us the strictly results show is live?”, others were convinced the entire pretence was to allow for the hosts to test out an entire new outfit.

Taking to Twitter, a viewer protested: “It’s just an excuse for a dress change for Claudia and Tess. But it’s so obvious too.”

Another agreed: “Yes, it’s an excuse for a change of frock for Tess, Claudia & Darcey, but a bit silly.”

But as some viewers on the BBC viewers expressed annoyance at the presenters for trying to trick them, others stuck up for Strictly.

A fan tweeted: “They don’t try to pretend otherwise —they show interviews during the credits that make clear it’s not live.”

While another said: “Think they take a break between the live show and recording the results (to give people time to vote.)”

In fact, most die-hard fans know the Saturday and Sunday night editions are filmed on the same evening, saving them bringing back all the dancers, celebrities and the entire crew for another evening with hours in the makeup chair.

Yet, the show still like to keep up the illusion with the dress change.
