The 26-year-old Essex girl shot to fame with the reality show, which documented her relationships with Mark Wright and former fiance Mario Falcone, when she was a teenager in 2010.
"I don’t think there was a beauty regime when I was on Towie," Lucy, who's a new brand ambassador for Botanics, told The Sun Online.
"I didn’t take any time for my skin when I was younger and it was a lot of make-up, not always taking it off at night."
When asked what her biggest beauty blunder was, Lucy revealed: "Me and Sam Faiers used to use £1 fake tan wipes when we were at school and they were so tragic.
"These make-up wipes they made you stink. I think fake tan in general. I like fake tan but it’s about building it up and not using such severe ones.

"It's about layering, putting it on one night and then seeing what it looks like instead of doing three layers at once.
"Colour wise, I used a lot of the bronzer, but all over, there was no contouring when I was 17. It was just like ‘whack it on all over’."
Lucy, who is dating Corrie's Ryan Thomas, 33, left her partying days behind and built a fitness empire called Results With Lucy after leaving Towie.
She said: "It took me a month to see a difference but I started to feel better within a couple of weeks.
"Just waking up and jumping up, instead of being like ‘eugh, carb coma because I ate two bowls of pasta for dinner’ or being hungover.
"It gave me more energy, made me more positive, made me more productive with work and life in general.
"It's about changing one thing at a time. I drink two big glasses of water first thing in the morning because I’m really bad at it.
"But I still have a Friday night takeaway and a glass of wine."
Lucy also revealed her surprising beauty hack, putting coconut oil on her eyelashes at night.
She said: "I put coconut oil on my eyelashes night and my hair, only the ends, but I sleep with it usually in my hair.
"Then on holiday if I’m by the pool I’ll put coconut oil in my hair."
The reality star has recently ditched her heavy make-up in favour of the organic Botanics products, saying: "A lot of products break my skin out.
"I struggle with brands that are really expensive, normally I can’t put them anywhere near my face.
"On Towie I used make-up wipes which dry my skin out so much. I’ve realised now they’re really bad."
Lucy, who recently went on 10 holidays in just seven months, also struggles with under eye bags – caused by her hectic lifestyle.
She said: "Under my eyes is something I struggle with. So I use the Botanics roller before bed and then in the morning normally a few times.
"I think it’s just lifestyle. I do a lot of travelling for work as well as holidays."
Lucy's beau Ryan recently sparked engagement rumours after splashing out on a diamond ring.
