We don’t mean to alarm you or anything, but we’re well into the first quarter of 2018 – and you know what that means? It’s time to start planning your summer.
Any excuse, right?
And one of the best ways to spend your summer is at a festival. (If you ignore all the mud and the state of the toilets at the end of it, that is.)
As the likes of Isle of Wight and Reading and Leeds start to announce their headline acts, you’d be forgiven for thinking that a lot of festival line-ups these days are worryingly similar.

So, if you’d rather spend your summer reliving the good-old days of the ’80s and ’90s, then you might want to consider Livewire Festival, as R&B and pop icons Boyz II Men and Matt Goss (of Goss Bros fame) have just been confirmed as this year’s headliners.
Following on from last year’s inaugural weekend, which saw the likes of Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Jacksons perform, Blackpool is set to welcome more retro music royalty to its shores.
Their headline sets at Livewire Festival, which takes place from August 23 to 26, will be both Boyz II Men and Matt Goss’ only UK shows in 2018, so no pressure, guys.
Further acts are yet to be confirmed for the summer’s four-day spectacular in Blackpool, but the full line-up and ticket information can be found on Livewire’s website.
