In an interview with L.A. Leakers, the producer of the song, Mike WiLL Made It, says that they already have a music video for the track.
Drake finally makes his return to the music industry after a temporary hiatus. The Toronto rapper has joined fellow rapper Trouble for a collaborative track entitled “Bring It Back”. The song is produced by Mike WiLL Made It.
The four-minute track finds Drake spitting a few bars with gusto. “Yeah, I don’t play no games boy, I’m at your head/ All about the family, n****s took the pledge,” he raps. “Now you gotta own up to that shit you said/ You can’t push us to the edge, Trouble from the edge/ Hit the gas and we outta there/ Do it for the six because we started there.”
The collaboration between Trouble and Drake is something fans have been anticipating for nearly a year when rumors of a collaboration began to surface after the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker uploaded on Instagram a picture of himself with Trouble and the producer. Mike confirmed the collaboration in an interview with L.A. Leakers.
Mike stated that Drake was the one who wanted to collab on the song after Mike let him hear it. “I let Drake hear it, and Drake was like, ‘Yo, this song is crazy,’ and he ended up hopping on that joint, smoking that joint,” he said, adding that they already had a music video for the track. “We shot the video and everything. We’re just trying to make sure the project is all the way ill and complete and done.”
In other Drake-related news, the rapper recently performed at a private show on the beach at the Amex Platinum House at the Edition Hotel. The show was attended by no more than 400 guests, who are the American Express Platinum cardholders. Among the guests were Olivia Culpo and Timbaland. Drake arrived a little bit late that night, but he still hyped up the crowd by performing almost all of his hits such as “Headlines” and “Fake Love”.
