One Direction have had a reunion (of sorts) after Liam Payne and Niall Horan met up at an Indiana concert on Friday (June 23).
The pair were both attending the Birthday Bash concert by radio station ZPL when they decided to take the opportunity to catch up – they are both members of one of the world’s biggest bands, after all.
… and it probably would have been a bit awkward otherwise.
They posted video clips of their meeting on their Instagram Stories, and seemed to be on pretty good form while taking a selfie too.
Other acts at the gig included Flo Rida, James Arthur and Fifth Harmony, though naturally fans’ attention was turned to the 1D pair.
Meanwhile, both Liam and Niall have paid tribute to bandmate Harry Styles’ late stepfather Robin Twist, following his death after a battle with cancer earlier this week..
“What a kind, gentle and beautiful soul, a true rarity to find in today’s world. Sometimes they really do take the best of us far too soon,” Liam wrote on Instagram.
Niall wrote: “For those who had the pleasure of knowing Robin will know that he was the nicest , kindest, most generous , hilariously funny guy you’ll have met . He always had a smile on his face even when he was battling the terrible illness.”
One Direction are currently on hiatus as each of the five boys pursue solo careers, although Liam and fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson have recently crossed vocals on a new track while recording the Grenfell Tower charity single ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ this week.
The star-studded track brought together the likes of Stormzy, Robbie Williams and Emelie Sandé to raise money for the survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire as proceeds from sales will go to The London Community Foundation to help those in need, and there is also a website where you can donate money to the Foundation as well.
