Liam Payne sheds One Direction’s wholesome image in the sexy music video for ‘Strip That Down’.
The promo clip does exactly what it says on the tin, as the former boybander demonstrates his newfound hip-hop vibe while slinking around with twerking back-up dancers.
‘Strip That Down’ is the 23-year-old’s first solo single since the One Direction hiatus, and features some sleek vocals from Drake and Travis Scott frequent collaborator Quavo.
The hip-hop star previously promised that his music video with Liam would feature “crazy visuals”, and they certainly delivered on that tease.
The UK number-three single was written with pop king Ed Sheeran, who also has a surprise vocal cameo on ‘Strip That Down’ as that very sexy voice in the background.
“Honestly, I feel so blessed and lucky that he wanted to write a song for me,” Liam recently revealed to BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw.
“I just want to say thank you to him I guess more than anything, it’s amazing, I’m humble. The fact that he even wanted to bother working with us and spend his time!”
Ed Sheeran previously worked with Liam Payne in the heyday of One Direction, having penned the X Factor group’s songs ‘Little Things’ and ‘Moments’.
