Stranger Things Star Gets Big Pay Rise For Season 3

Being a child star isn’t always a blessing, but the cast of Stranger Things are riding high on the waves of the show’s success. Going into the next season of the series, the young cast is reportedly earning a whopping $250,000 per episode. For Gaten Matarazzo who plays Dustin, that’s a whopping 1,200 percent pay rise. Not bad at all for the 15-year-old actor.

According to TMZ, Matarazzo was initially going to bag $17,640 per episode. Winona Ryder and David Harbour will net $350,000 an episode while Matarazzo’s co-stars Finn Wolfhard, 15, Caleb McLaughlin, 16, and Noah Schnapp, 13, are all pegged to receive a quarter of a million. The rumor mill is swirling about Millie Bobby Brown’s deal, as it’s believed that her agents are negotiating a separate contract that could see the show’s breakout star coming away with a significantly higher amount than the other castmates her age.

the 14-year-old British actress could earn as much as Harbour and Ryder. Supporting cast members Natalie Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery will be paid $150,000 per episode in the new agreement. That’s still more than we’re ever likely to earn from anything. The Netflix original series has been a smash hit, catapulting its young cast into the limelight, and rejuvenating Ryder’s career. Millie Bobby Brown has become a pop-culture icon and is one of the show’s brightest stars. With 15.4 million followers on Instagram and modeling contracts promoting Calvin Klein and Converse sneakers, there’s nothing slowing her down.

Natalie Dyer, who plays Nancy, landed a role on an upcoming movie starring alongside John Malkovich, Rene Russo, and Toni Collette, while Joe Keery has also signed on to the movie Beef with Timothy Olyphant. The series was an unexpected hit, earning a total of 18 Emmy nominations last year, and winning a plethora of awards. Fans are already counting down the days to the season three release, but with filming yet to begin, they’ll be waiting for a long time yet.
