It might feel like Take That’s membership is a little like the Sugababes’ (always on rotation), but Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald all have plans for the original five to reunite.
Currently, both Robbie Williams and Jason Orange are taking a break from the band, but there’s a possibility that they could come back. Whether it’s ‘Back For Good’ is a different story, though.
Chatting to The Sun, Gary revealed that the Take That boys were looking for something big to celebrate their 30th anniversary, and not their 25th one.
(We can’t believe it’s been that long either.)
“We’re planning something to do for the 30-year all together,” he said. “We’re looking that far ahead, something big, maybe a new record, maybe a greatest hits with a big tour.”
Despite admitting that his “gut” was telling him a five-piece won’t happen, Howard added that he’d definitely be down for it: “A five-piece would, of course, be incredible.
“Whether that ever happens or not, that’s a different story. My gut’s telling me no. I’d love it to happen.”
He added: “That’s the nice thing, that we can all hope it will happen but, you know, [there’s] no pressure on anybody to do anything.”Take That get accused o[there’s]during their ITV special
This isn’t the first time the band have teased Robbie and Jason’s return. Back in March, Gary hinted that Take That’s current line-up is by no means permanent.
“It has been left on a good note and it’s an open door for Jay and Rob,” Gary revealed. “This band is for us all to come and go as we please.”
