Taylor Swift Sets More Records as ‘Reputation’ Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200

The effort is the first album to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 since Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’ as well as the first album by a woman that tops the chart more than a week since Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’.

Taylor Swift’s latest album “Reputation” remains at No. 1 on Billboard 200, marking its second consecutive week atop the chart. The set racked up 256,000 equivalent album units, including 232,000 units in traditional albums sales, in the week ending November 23, according to Nielsen Music.

The set was previously named the best-selling album of the year as it sold more than one million copies in its opening week, defeating this year’s previous best seller Ed Sheeran’s “Divide (division sign)”, which racked up a total of 931,000 units. Now, the effort is the first album to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 since Jay-Z’s “4:44” topped the chart on July 29 and August 5.

Additionally, “Reputation” is the first album by a woman that tops the chart more than a week since Rihanna’s “ANTI”, which peaked the chart for two nonconsecutive weeks in 2016. Taylor also becomes the first female artist to spend two consecutive weeks at No. 1 since Adele ruled the chart with “25” for two consecutive weeks in 2015.

Trailing behind “Reputation” is Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s first collaborative album “The Rest of Our Life”, which debuts at No. 2 with 104,000 units. The effort marks Tim’s best sales week since 2013’s “Two Lanes of Freedom” sold 107,000 units in its first week. At No. 3, Sam Smith’s “The Thrill of It All” dips one spot with 58,000 units.

Another effort which debuts on this week’s top 10 is Garth Brooks’ “The Anthology: Part 1, The First Five Years”, which launches at No. 4. The set racked up 53,000 units, all of which are in traditional album sales. Meanwhile, Pentatonix’s “A Pentatonix Christmas”, which was released a little over a year ago, returns to the top 10 as it soars to No. 5 with 47,000 units.

Pink’s “Beautiful Trauma” is also back to the top 10, rising from No. 16 to No. 6 with 44,000 units. Maroon 5’s “Red Pill Blues” stays steady at No. 7 with 43,000 units, while Lil Uzi Vert’s “Luv Is Rage 2” ascends to No. 8 with 41,000 units. Other titles making up this week’s top 10 are Ed’s “Divide (division sign)”, which falls four spots to No. 9 with 41,000, and Post Malone’s “Stoney”, which dips to No. 10 with 39,000 units.
