Elon Musk attended a Silicon Valley bash that has been described as a “sex party” in Emily Chang’s upcoming book “Brotopia.”
A woman dubbed Jane Doe claimed to Chang that she was stroked and given molly during a “cuddle puddle” at the party, attended by several titans of tech. We’re told that it was thrown at the home of Steve Jurvetson, who has since been ousted from venture capital company DFJ for sexual-misconduct allegations.
Paul Biggar writes on Medium that Musk was there but, “I didn’t personally see Elon . . . or any of the firm partners, or in fact anyone, do anything illegal, or having sex or taking drugs.” He adds, “But I know who was there, what the party was, how it was communicated. I know that anything that Jane Doe described, which overlapped with what I saw, is accurate.”
Musk’s rep tells us, “Elon was at the . . . party for a couple hours and left around 1 a.m. . . . His impression was that it was a corporate party with a costume theme, not a ‘sex party.’ ”
A rep for DFJ told Recode, “We were dismayed to learn of behavior at the party that was completely at odds with DFJ’s culture, which has been . . . built on the values of respect and integrity. We would never want anyone to feel uncomfortable and we are sorry if that happened.”
