ANGEL GOMES has seemingly declared his loyalty for Manchester United after being caught out ‘liking’ a City post on social media.
The 17-year-old is believed to be set for a bright future at Old Trafford after making his first-team debut in May.
But Gomes appeared to forget which side he was on after Sunday’s infamous derby, ‘liking’ City starlet Brahim Diaz’s Instagram post showing players hugging and captioned: “Manchester is blue!”
And United fans were clearly irked following a 2-1 defeat which saw Pep Guardiola’s men pull 11 points ahead of Jose Mourinho’s parked bus.
One wrote: “I don’t care if he’s a promising player, this is disgraceful.”
Another added: “ simply disgusting to like ‘Manchester is blue’ for a player from our own academy.

“10 years ago he would’ve been crucified by the likes of Rio and Gary , sad that we don’t have characters like them anymore.”
However, Gomes has come out firing to prove that he is 100 per cent committed to the Red Devils.
He posted a picture to Instagram showing him in a United jersey along with two big red hearts.
But whether irate supporters forgive him remains to be seen, with many still smarting from the weekend loss.
