AJ is Britain's biggest boxing star and the current WBA and IBF heavyweight champion.
But the Daily Telegraph claim that UFC chief Dana White wants to make him the richest British fighter of all-time.
Joshua is currently preparing to face New Zealander and WBO title holder Joseph Parker in a unification fight next week.
The report claims that White will be in attendance at the showdown in Cardiff.
And the UFC president plans to hold talks with 28-year-old Joshua and his team after the clash.
The capture of Joshua would instantly up the stakes and provide a huge boost for the MMA organisation.
It is believed the Watford-born ace could earn £35m per fight in the octagon.

And the prospect of a multi-fight deal would take his earnings to over £350m.
The claims comes just hours after Joshua said he was "100 per cent" committed to staying with promoter Eddie Hearn.
He only has a year left on his contract with Hearn and Matchroom Promotions.
AJ's battle with Parker is the last one on his exclusive US TV deal with Showtime.
Joshua is hoping that a victory at the Principality Stadium next Saturday will help him secure a bumper unification fight with American Deontay Wilder.
