Liverpool were forced to release a statement over Coutinho’s future by insisting that he will be a Reds player when the transfer window shuts.
It read: “The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes.”
But following Liverpool’s thrilling 3-3 draw at Watford, Klopp gave his first hint that they could lose the 25-year-old.

He fumed: “I don’t make the decision.
“If we sell a player, or don’t sell him, then I must accept it.
“I cannot say anything about the situation. I just work with the him, then I must accept it. I just work with the players I have and that is what I’m always doing.”
And to further fuel speculation that Coutinho is close to leaving, a video emerged of a member of staff taking down an image of the Brazil ace in front of the official store.
