The vicar realised boyfriend Todd was lying to him about there being nothing in the accident to worry about and forced him to tell him the truth
BILLY Mayhew broke down devastated as he discovered he had been responsible for Susan Barlow's death in Coronation Street.
The vicar – who is played by actor Daniel Brocklebank in the ITV soap – realised boyfriend Todd was lying to him about there being nothing in the accident to worry about and forced him to tell him the truth.
But when he discovered that he had caused Peter Barlow's twin sister to die in a car accident while he was fleeing a robbery in a getaway car, he couldn't take it.
Todd told him: "The PI found out details of the crash. I lied about what happened, I'm sorry but somebody died."
A horrified Billy replied: "I killed someone. I was there. I told the driver to go, I could've called an ambulance.
"Who was it? Of course it matters, I took a life. There's a family out there whose lives I've ruined."
But as Todd tried to pretend he didn't know who died, Billy threatened to get his own investigator to find out the truth and so Todd relented.
He told him: "Her name is Susan Barlow. Peter's twin sister. Adam's mother."
Later this week Billy will try to find the other members of his robbery gang to share the awful news.
The vicar searches the internet for a guy called Gareth from Stockport and it all starts to go slightly wrong.
