Veteran Giants shooter Susan Pettitt will retire from netball at the end of the season, becoming the third Diamonds player this week to draw the curtain on their international careers.
But unlike Queensland's Laura Geitz and Collingwood's Madi Robinson who plan to continue on in Super Netball, Pettitt has also closed the door on a distinguished club career that has spanned more than 200 games at national league level.
Retiring: Susan Pettitt will call time on her netball career at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old spent 11 seasons at the NSW Swifts before being coaxed across to the Giants by coach Julie Fitzgerald on formation of the new club.

Pettitt began the year at goal attack but has been moved into the shooter's role in recent weeks in a switch with English superstar Jo Harten.
