Jeremy Corbyn watches Arsenal play Atletico Madrid in Europa League semi-final first leg clash at Emirates

The Labour leader was in the stands for the Europa League semi-final first leg clash at the Emirates on Thursday night.

Corbyn is a staunch Gooner and has made no secret of his love and admiration for Wenger.

The Frenchman will leave Arsenal at the end of the season despite confusion over whether he was sacked or resigned voluntarily.

And Corbyn posted a heartfelt tribute to the Frenchman on social media, thanking him for all that he’s brought to North London.

Corbyn wrote: “Thank you Arsene Wenger for all you have done for Arsenal and our community in North London, and for the inspiration you have given to young people to take up football.

“Thank you for all the achievements, over such a long period, for the club I love.

“Three Premier League titles, the unbeaten season, a record breaking seven FA Cups and revolutionising the English game.
