The reality star threw a bash for her family and friends last week, but her surrogate was not invited
KIM Kardashian has revealed she didn’t invite her surrogate to her baby shower because she hadn’t fully explained the situation to her children yet.
The 37-year-old threw a cherry-blossom themed bash for families and friends last week, as she and husband Kanye West gear up to welcome a little girl by surrogate in the New Year.
Speaking about her decision not to have the woman carrying her baby at the party, the reality star told The Real: “I, um, I did not [invite her]. I did introduce her to my family. I introduced her to my family earlier that day.
“And, you know, I just thought, I don’t know, it was like a weird decision to have to make.”
She continued: “Of course, I would’ve wanted her to be there and be a part of it.
“But I hadn’t really gone that far in explaining it to my kids yet.
“So I have to figure that out first before they really see and then if we’re celebrating, you know, her, I just want to celebrate the baby.”
Kim, who is mum to daughter North, four, and son Saint, 23 months, went on to reveal that she has a great relationship with the surrogate.
“I love her. I have the best relationship with my surrogate. She’s so nice,” she said.
“She is the perfect person to do this for my family. She’s great. She’s been amazing.”
Kim and Kanye decided to use a surrogate after she suffered complications in her previous pregnancies and she was told could "bleed to death" if she carried another child.
Her comments come after she let slip that she is having another girl an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
She also revealed that she is yet to pick a name but asked everyone at her baby shower to come up with an idea.
"We don't have a name. At the baby shower I was like, 'I don't want to play any games, measuring the belly, that won't work out this time. I just want everyone to write a name on a little tile and we'll see if something sticks,” she shared.
"We're freaking out. We have no name."
