Jurgen Klopp has taken a 25-man squad to Portugal ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League last-16 first-leg meeting with Porto.
The Reds travelling party left a wet John Lennon Airport this afternoon for Portugal and, after Wednesday’s match, will stay on for a training camp.
Liverpool face the Portuguese leaders after a return to form following wins at Huddersfield and Southhampton, and a draw with Tottenham.
But Klopp is taking advantage of a 10-day gap for his side until their next outing against West Ham in the Premier League on February 24.
This means Klopp has taken a huge group, beyond the 18 he’ll put on the teamsheet, to the northern coast of Portugal.
Emre Can has even travelled despite his one-match Champions League suspension.
Joe Gomez, who has missed the last two outings through injury, is also included in the selection.
Sergio Conceicao’s Porto have lost just two matches all season, both of them in the Champions League on their way to the last-16.
Liverpool squad in full: Karius, Mignolet, Ward, Grabara, Clyne, Van Dijk, Lovren, Gomez, Klavan, Moreno, Robertson, Matip, Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum, Milner, Henderson, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Woodburn, Firmino, Salah, Mane, Ings, Solanke.
