Lucas Torreira to wear Arsenal No11 shirt… but can you spot embarrassing gaffe on club shop website?

But the Gunners made an embarrassing gaffe on the club website after he completed his £22 million switch from Sampdoria today.

Torreira's name was spelt wrong on the "Shop By Player" section of the website after the transfer was announced on Tuesday.

But the Gunners were quick to notice their mistake and it was changed within a matter of minutes.

Shirts with his name on are already available to purchase, which range between £71 and £116.

The 22-year-old was quick to put pen to paper after Uruguay were knocked out of the World Cup.

Torreira will be given a well-deserved rest before he joins up with Emery's squad in early August.

Following the deal, Unai Emery said: "In Lucas Torreira, we have signed a young player who is a very bright talent in the game.

"A midfielder with great quality, I have enjoyed watching his performances for Sampdoria in the past seasons, and we all saw him do very well for Uruguay in the World Cup."

The defender is Arsenal's fourth signing of the summer as the new boss continues to strengthen his squad.
