American already has three inkings – including Olympic rings – but will add one more with a big win
The American is unusual for the average golfer in that he already has three inkings.
Rickie Fowler already has three tattoos but is open to having another
The American will have a tattoo of the famed Claret Jug if he wins
But the man who starts as one of the favourites will add one more if he comes out on top at Royal Birkdale.
Asked about getting the Claret Jug on his skin, Fowler, 28, told the Daily Mail: “Oh, I would certainly have to give that my full consideration if I won. Wouldn’t that be just great?
“Maybe we shouldn’t think that far ahead, though. Don’t want to jinx it, right?”
Fowler has the Olympic rings on the outside of his right forearm.
He also has a ‘G’ just below his left elbow in honour of Georgia Veach.
Georgia is the daughter of Chad Veach, pastor of The City Church in Seattle, and his wife Julia.
All of Rickie Fowler’s tattoos are of significance to him

At four months old, Georgia was diagnosed with lissencephaly, also known as “smooth brain,” a rare brain disorder.
The other tattoo on Fowler’s left arm is by his bicep and in honour of his grandfather Yutaka Tanaka.
The inking is in Japanese and pays homage to Tanaka’s time in a Japanese internment camp during World War Two.
