RIYAD MAHREZ did not report for Leicester training on Thursday after his dream move to Manchester City fell through.
The Algerian handed in a transfer request on deadline day after Pep Guardiola's high-flyers launched a £65million bid.
Leicester had no intention of cashing in and Mahrez, who was thought to be furious with the decision, pulled out of the matchday squad to take on Everton.
The 26-year-old was said to be "very depressed" at the club's owners and told a close friend he “doesn’t understand why Leicester have behaved the way they have."
After four transfer windows of failed moves Mahrez believes he deserves a move to a top club following his achievements with the Foxes.
Leicester have allowed fellow title winners N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater leave for Chelsea in recent years.
And it appears Mahrez is no closer to rebuilding his relationship with the club after he failed to turn up to training on Thursday.
He is likely to miss Leicester's clash with Swansea on Saturday afternoon.
And Man City are braced to return with another offer for their main target at the end of the season.
Leicester believe his value will reach a whopping £95m following his sensational performances this campaign.
