The This Morning star was annoyed he wouldn’t get the day off to watch the royal nuptials
RYLAN Clark-Neal was fuming on yesterday's This Morning after discovering he wouldn't get an extra bank holiday for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.
The presenter was initially very excited about the happy Royal news which was announced yesterday, but his delight soon turned to disappointment when he found out he wouldn't get a day off.
Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby said: "It's not going to be a day off."
Looking confused, Rylan asked: "Well, what's the point? What's going on here? Why not?"
Holly replied: "You can't focus on that, that's not the important thing."
While Rylan conceded he knew that, he still wanted an explanation as to why he wouldn't get a lie in for the big day, which has since been confirmed to be taking place in May next year at Windsor.
Phil replied: "Because he'll be fifth or sixth in line to the throne depending on whether or not it's after the latest baby from the Cambridge's so I don't think that warrants a day off."
With his hand splayed across his chest, Rylan replied: "Well I'm having the day off."
Earlier in the episode, Holly, 36, couldn’t contain her excitement over the Royal couple's engagement.
As the show dedicated the majority of its coverage to the royal wedding news, Holly exclaimed it was the “thing of dreams.”
When they returned from an ad break playing Once Upon A Dream from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty the romance was all too much for Holly.
She gushed: “Oh that’s so sweet! I mean it is the thing of dreams isn’t it!
