The Blackburn-born singer songwriter has been labelled the new Adele thanks to her original material – and Simon is reportedly keen to snap her up permanently
GRACE Davies is reportedly already a winner in the eyes of Simon Cowell – and is apparently set to sign with him no matter what the outcome is on the X Factor finale this weekend.
The 20-year-old Blackburn lass has made it to the final two after her performance of original song Roots, and classic Anthem Live and Let Die on Saturday night.
She will go head-to-head against Rak-Su on Sunday evening, after Kevin Davy White was eliminated at the final hurdle.
Now, according to the Mail on Sunday, sources have told them Grace will be signed up to SyCo -whether she wins or loses the final sing-off.
Simon has clearly been impressed with Grace since she first entered the audition room earlier this year – and has nicknamed her “the new Adele” after performing several hits she’s penned herself.
Since her X Factor journey, the star has revealed that she has changed as a person, and has previously vowed that she will continue making music even if she was eliminated.
However, it hasn’t come without one or two bumps in the road – after it was previously revealed that she was left in crippling back pain after pulling a muscle ahead of one of the shows.
But now she’s fighting fit, she has her eyes on the prize, and on Saturday was reduced to tears on stage after performing her own hit alongside singer Paloma Faith.
If she wins, the duet will be released as her winner’s single.
The song was what Grace performed in her first ever audition – and left the judges in tears before putting her through.
Rak-Su, who are also in the running, teamed up with Naughty Boy and Perfect Gentleman star Wyclef Jean to also perform their own song, Dimelo.
The song will be released after the announcement of the winner of the series is crowned tomorrow evening.
All proceeds from the song will be donated to children’s charities, Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase.
Following the finale this weekend, The X Factor hopefuls will be heading out on tour from February next year – with a Sun Online voted wildcard joining them.
Rak-Su, Grace Davies, Kevin Davy White, Lloyd Macey, The Cutkelvins and Matt Linnen will be serenading the UK in stadiums – but who do you want to see join them?
